I decided to go about getting curls the old fashion way! PIN CURLS!! Yes friends I slept the WHOLE night with my hair in pin curls. I curled them using a flatiron then sprayed them with Vavoom finishing spray and pinned them so they would stay. I slept with a bandana around my head and you can see the results how perfect the curls are! I will see how long I can make these curls last…stay tuned!

After I curled my hair today and I wanted to save it for tomorrow. So by wearing it in a french braided double-strand rope bun. I and hoping to conserve the curl! lets see what I can do!
I used a larger spaced crimping iron to add slight texture to the hair not leaving specific impression patterns. I used Matrix Total Results Sleek Iron Guard for protection, and Matrix Hard Lock hairspray for control. Pin hair into figure eights on top and to one side of the head.
So hopefully this will not be the first and only time your seeing this image…I am going to try to submit it and see what happens. Who’s with me on this? Please leave your opinions and comments….lets just say they two views don’t do the “doo” justice ;-). I handmade this headpiece out of silver beads, chiffon, and a sholderpad.
Updating an old dress by adding embellishments is the way to look great and save lots of cash! All it takes is a little imagination. The hair style is “wand waved” in the crown section with tight Marcell curls pinned up to the side. I wanted her to resemble the model from Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel”. So go try updating an old look with new additions yourself.
I loved this style…and since It has finally been sent off for review for the magazine American Stylist I can now show it to the world! This was all the model’s natural hair that has been crimped in specific pieces and pinned into curls all over the back of the head. I used Vavoom Finishing Hair Spray for a stronger hold and shine!
